GREENGUARD Environmental Institute Announces New Director of Public
Affairs
Director to Lead Organization's Public Outreach and Advocacy
Efforts Nationwide
(Atlanta, GA)-The GREENGUARD
Environmental Institute (GEI) is pleased to announce today the
appointment of Mark Rossolo as Director of Public Affairs. In this
role, Rossolo will lead GEI's strategic outreach and advocacy efforts,
representing GREENGUARD on the national, state, and local levels and
campaigning on behalf of the organization to drive public awareness
about indoor air quality issues. Rossolo will also be responsible
for building relationships with key external stakeholders and influencers
in the sustainable design and green building industries.
Rossolo brings a wealth of experience in green building, public policy,
and government relations to GEI. Most recently, he managed public
outreach and advocacy for the Green
Building Initiative (GBI), one of the largest green building organizations
in the U.S. In that position, Rossolo worked closely with lawmakers
in 30 states to enact green building policies and legislation.
"We are thrilled to welcome Mark to the GREENGUARD Environmental
Institute," says Henning Bloech, executive director of GEI. "His
experience in the arena of public policy and advocacy is a boon to
our organization. I have no doubt that under his leadership, GREENGUARD
will make great strides toward bridging the gap between 'green' construction
and healthy indoor air quality."
Prior to his role at GBI, Rossolo held various positions in communications
and legislative affairs, including state senate campaign manager,
finance coordinator, and legislative assistant. A graduate of Washington
State University, Rossolo holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business
Administration and Marketing.
